Faribault City Hall

Project Description

When City Hall of Faribault called we listened! They were concerned the contractor hired to re-point the west elevation lacked the necessary expertise to properly complete the work. After a few meetings, RSI was contracted to repoint the wall. The building was built in 1892 with a unique brick with a red 3/16″ mortar joint. We modified our cutting tools to the proper thickness/depth, had the mortar analyzed then pretinted to match original. We completed the work in (3) three weeks and were contracted for an additional side last year.

Fleckenstein Building

Project Description

Restoration Services turned a distressed property in the heart of Faribault’s Historic Commercial District into a stunning example of historically-accurate restoration that meets modern commercial needs. The 1884 property had been home to various commercial ventures on the main floor and residential units on the second floor. A fire in 1997 rendered the property virtually unusable. After many unsuccessful attempts by the owners and City to find a suitor, the City of Faribault turned to Rick Thomas the founder in 2003.
